Bob Crowley, vice president of operations for Chelo’s Restaurants will speak to students from Hope High School as part of the school’s hospitality pilot program on Wednesday, July 23rd at 12:00 p.m.
Mr. Crowely will be the featured guest speaker congratulating students on completing the program. Students will have the opportunity to meet with Mr. Crowley and discuss employment opportunities at Chelo’s Restaurants, as well as take part in informal job interviews.
The hospitality pilot program is a new customized training program developed through a partnership between the Rhode Island Hospitality Association Education Foundation, Providence Skills Center, Workforce Solutions, Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, Hope High School, and the City of Providence, funded by a legislative grant from Senator Dominick J. Ruggerio. This four week training program gives Hope High School graduates the skills they need to join retail and hospitality employers and be successful. The unique blend of training encompassing customer service skills and hospitality certification, will give class graduates a distinct advantage when applying for employment. The training culminates in national certification in Retail Customer Service, Serve Safe Alcohol and Serve Safe Food Sanitation.
